(a) Define the following terms as used in computing: [6 marks]

(i) Computer.
(ii) Data and information.
(iii) Computer virus.

(b) What is the meaning of Green computing? State an example of how it is being applied. [3 marks]

(c) What is the meaning of user interface? Discuss the two types of user interfaces. [4 marks]

(d) Define the term hardware devices. State the various categories of hardware devices. [6 marks]

(e) Giving an example for each, explain the difference between storage device and storage media. [6 marks]

(f) Define the term operating system. State three functions of the OS.

(a) Everyday, people around the world rely on different types of computers for a variety of reasons. Discuss the five categories of computer users. [10 marks]

(b) Briefly discuss five advantages and five disadvantages that users experience when working with computers. [10 marks]
