a) Write brief notes on the following key development concepts: (10 Marks)
(i) One – way and two – way communication models.
(ii) Communication and development communication.
(iii) Social networks
b) With examples, explain the 4P’s of social marketing model as a tool for development. (10 Marks)
c) Using examples from your own community, describe the steps followed by many NGO’s in implementing their programmes. (10 Marks)

Social networks have an important role in communicating for development and their contribution is now being recognized by NGOs, donors and various governments:
a) Explain five reasons why social networks are developed. (10 Marks)
b) Briefly discuss five factors to be considered in determining how a social network should be managed and operated. (10 Marks)

The rapid and continued development of information and communication technology over the past decade is creating new opportunities. Explain the role of the internet as a participatory tool in communication for development. (20 Marks)
