1. a) Define Total Quality Management as used in management skills.

b) Having graduated from Maasai Mara University with first class honors, you were promoted to become a manager of a fast growing company. Discuss what entails your role as a manager. (12 Marks)
c) “Leaders are born and Managers are made,” discuss. (5Marks)
d) Analyse how communication skill is important to management in Maasai Mara University. (5Marks)

2. a) With the aid of relevant examples Discuss the following terms clearly bringing out the differences: Quality control and Quality assurance. (5 Marks)
b) As a manager how will you ensure that there is Total Quality Management in your organization. (10 Marks)
3. a) Every decision made started with a problem or opportunity. Clearly describe giving an example of a problem or opportunity in the University setting. (3Marks)
b) Analyse the managers’ decision making process drawing practical examples at every stage (12Marks)
4. a) Differentiate between a team and a group. (5 Marks)
b) Illustrate the role of a leader in the evolution of group and team development. (10Marks)
5. Every employee has a need and when the need is addressed they feel motivated in achieving organizational goal. Using any appropriate theory illustrate how organization can motivate their employees to achieve their best in terms of organizational performance. (15Marks)
