QUESTION ONE (30 MARKS) (Compulsory)
a) To fight the spread of HIV in the African continent, it is necessary to know and effectively address
the factors that drive the spread of HIV.
Discuss in depth at least five prevention strategies of HIV/AIDS
b) Habits that detract people from activity and push them towards a sedentary routine can cause a
number of health issues that can lead to chronic non-communicable diseases that can have near
life-threatening consequences. Discuss in details five ways to prevent lifestyle diseases.
c) Recent government studies have indicated that teens rampantly abuse both illicit and
pharmaceutical drugs. Discuss the causes of drugs and alcohol abuse in Kenya
Drug abuse occurs when you’re unable to control your use of prescribed drugs or you’re using another
legal or illegal substance to the point that it interferes with your ability to function.
