a) After graduating from KCA University, you’ve teamed up with three other
classmates and incorporated PROSOL Ltd, a company dealing in programming
solutions. As the administration manager in the company, you are required to draft
an employment contract for programmers for adoption by the Board of Directors.
b) As a director at PROSOL Ltd, would you encourage the staff to join a trade
union? Support your answer with four practical reasons. (10 Marks)
c) Accounting estimates reveal that PROSOL Ltd. requires startup capital of Ksh. 3
millions. Being fresh from college, the shareholders are unable to raise the capital.
Advice the directors on four likely sources of capital. Justify your choice.
a) You have recently received an appointment for the position of an IT manager.
After analyzing the operations of the department, it has become necessary to
recruit an IT technician. The HRM has requested you to draft a job description for
the technician. Outline the job description for adoption by the HRM. Include a
person specification. (10 Marks)
b) Dan, a friend and a business major graduate as requested to partner with you in
setting up an E-Waste recycling plant in Nairobi’s Industrial area. As an IT
consultant, advice Dan on the following technical aspects of the business.

Importance of E-waste management
Effect of technological advancement on his business
