c) Briefly discuss six key different types of research giving examples of each type 12 marks

a) Maasai Mara University has appointed you as a supervisor for one of their master’s course student. The student has approached you to help her select her research topic. Giving relevant examples advice the student on what will make her topic acceptable 10 marks
b) What challenges does one face in writing a background of a study 5 marks
Question three
“Effects of retrenchment on employee performance: A case of Maasai Mara University”. From the above research title, prepare five research objectives and the research questions. 15 marks

a. The quality of a research study depends on the literature reviewed. How would you make literature review effective to aid your study? 10 marks
b. What are the challenges that a researcher is likely to experience in data collection? 5 marks

The success of a research study relies heavily on the data collected. The use of a questionnaire is one key method of data collection. The quality of the tool for data collection will determine the kind quality of data collected. Briefly discuss the ground rules for developing a good questionnaire 15 marks
