QUESTION ONE
a. As an office assistant, you are required to create announcements for the staff. You are asked to create a flyer announcing the upcoming staff Appreciation Day. Using the BBQ flyer template, create announcement flyer that includes the following information;
Title: Staff Appreciation Day
Date: Wednesday, June 22nd 2011
Time: 11.am – 1.pm
Location: Lecture Hall 1
Use any other information that would enhance the flyer’s appeal (i.e borders, background image)
Save the publication with the name staff Appreciation Day. [15 marks]
b. Mr. Bension is a consultant in Health Services. He is based alongside Nyerere Avenue in Mombasa town. He owns a firm in the name “Health clinic” with the following addresses

He offers Eye, Nose and Throat services
Using the information provided, design a business card for Mr. Benson. Save it as Health Clinic. [10 marks]
QUESTION TWO
a. You are employed as the word processing specialist by ABC Distributers. Your business has decided to conduct a car wash to generate funds that will be donated to a local charity. Your committees decides to conduct the charity car wash on Saturday, August 6th, 2012, from 10am until 3pm. The committee chairperson received permission to use the local municipal stadium’s parking lot as a central location to conduct the car wash.
Using the information provided above, create an appropriate flyer for the car wash using the car wash 2 flyer template.
Change at least one font size, one font type and one font colour on the flyer. Remove unused text boxes and relocate or resize text boxes as needed. Use your imagination to create an interesting and attention-getting flyer.
Save the publication with the filename car wash. [15 marks]
QUESTION THREE
Brend Mugendi is getting married to Mike Labe on 20th December 2012. Brenda is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Baraza Mugendi while Mike is the son of Mr and Mrs David Wanyoike. The wedding and the reception will take place at st Joseph’s Kajuju Catholic Church starting at 10.00am.
You have been invited to attend the wedding whose inspirational message is “when a man marries a woman they become one flesh”. Acknowledgement can be sent through the address of either Brenda’s parents P.O Box 123, Kajiji or those of Mike’s parents P.O Box 342, Mjini.
REQUIRED
Using appropriate template of your choice;
a. Design a wedding card and with the above information. [15 marks]
b. Insert a suitable clipart picture at the bottom right hand side and top left hand side of the card. [5 marks]
c. Insert the given address at the bottom of card under the banner ‘RSVP’ [5 marks]
d. Insert a border of your choice along all the four edges of the card. [5 marks]
