c.) Lifestyle diseases are on the rise in the country not only in urban areas, but also in rural areas
during the past few years. Discuss five causes of lifestyle diseases in the world. (10 Marks)
QUESTION TWO (20 MARKS)
HIV-related stigma and discrimination refers to prejudice, negative attitudes and abuse directed at
people living with HIV and AIDS. In 35% of countries with available data, over 50% of people report
having discriminatory attitudes towards people living with HIV.
i) Discuss at least five forms of HIV/AIDS related stigma and discrimination. (10 Marks)

QUESTION THREE (20 MARKS)
i) Drugs/substance and alcohol abuse has negative impacts on different sectors of the country.
Discuss at least five strategies put in place by the government to reduce or stop, drug/substance
and alcohol abuse (10 Marks)
ii) Sexual and gender based violence can happen within a home/family setting, in the community,
among internally displaced persons or refugee and in their camps, in public places such as
matatus, buses and their terminus or market places.
Discuss the four levels risk factors of gender based violence (10 Marks)

Life skills are a set of core activities sometimes described as emotional intelligence that should be
acquired at all levels of personal growth.
