Collaborative performance management

A sustainable supply chain management orientation recognizing the shared responsibility of suppliers to implement good work place and environmental practices and vice versa. There is a need for buyers to:

  1. Measure their own performance and practices against sustainability criteria.
  2. Consider the impact of their own performance and practices against sustainability, further down the supply chain.
  3. Gather feedback from suppliers on impacts of buying practices in the local cultural, economic and environmental context.
  4. Consider how strategic suppliers regard them as a customer.
