A commercial bank wishes to start a new branch in Nairobi. The manager has approached you as
a GIS expert to advise the bank on the best location to open the new branch. Describe how you
would go about such a project indicating clearly the layers you might use, attributes in these layers’
analysis to be done etc. 20 Marks

A real estate web GIS system is required in Nairobi that does the following:
i) Allow users to search for houses for sale and rent in any estate without necessarily visiting
the estate.
ii) Select a house depending on their preferences, price location etc
Ii) Conduct a tour inside the house to inspect its features such as size and interior decorations.
Describe how you would go about creating such a system. Clearly stating issues such as softwres
required, data and where to get it etc. 20 Marks
