QUESTION ONE (25 MARKS) COMPULSORY
Naboisho Conservancy Ltd has ten employees who have attained the minimum age for retirement. Five of them have no doubt that they are ready for retirement, two are not so sure if they should retire, two may be worried about finance, while others are too attached to their profession to retire. They need to ask themselves a list of questions to determine whether they are ready for retirement.
i) Discuss the main questions that one need to answer in determining if he/she is ready to retire. (10 marks)
ii) Outline the importance of pension schemes to the retiring staff of Naboisho Conservancy Ltd? (5 Marks)
QUESTION TWO (15 MARKS).
ABC ltd sorted for your services as a consultant on various issues related to Annuities and Personal pensions management in organizations. Discuss the process involved based on the importance and challenges. (15 Marks)
QUESTION THREE (15 MARKS).
The retirement Benefit Act of Kenya contributes to the main legislations that protect the interest of the workforce.
i) Explain the contribution of this Act to labour Maintenance in the Market. (7 Marks)
ii) What are the challenges facing the implementation of the Act. (8 Marks)

If you were to discuss the process of pension funds management and the various investment scheme available in Kenya.
i) What are the key areas to consider in managing the contributors funds. (7 Marks)
ii) State and explain the relevant available investment schemes in Kenya. (8 Marks)
QUESTION FIVE (15 MARKS)
Retirement Benefits Authority is faced with various emerging issues in the management of the pension funds in Kenya that ranges from Social, Economic, political and Technical. As an expert in this area, clearly explain to RBA this emerging issues to the scheme, its effects and the solutions to the underlined effects. (15 Marks)
