SECTION B: 20 MARKS
The table below gives the covid 19 statistics for Kenya between 1st April and 21nd April
2020.Using a suitable DSS tool model the data below to enable the ministry of health project the
new cases for the next 10 days


a) Use a graphical illustration for the data given (8 Marks)
b) Give a suitable and close fitting equation of the sample data (4 Marks)
c) Project the trend for the next 10 days the and estimate the new cases for 1st May 2020
(4 Marks)
d) Ensure the appropriate titles and naming of the axis thereafter Copy and paste the graph
in Microsoft word for upload (4 Marks)
SECTION C: 20 MARKS
Using the goal seeking feature in Ms excel demonstrate a scenario where an employee earns a
basic salary of 50000. The overtime payrate per hour is 2500.
The total overtime amount =hours worked x payrate per hour.
The total gross pay = basicpay+overtime overtime amount.
The Tax payable = 30% of the gross pay.
The netpay = grosspay-tax payable
i) Enter the date in a worksheet to computer the net pay if the overtime hrs are 15
(6 Marks)
ii) Using the goal seeking feature how many hours do you need for overtime to take home
a net pay of 130,000 (4 Marks)
iii) Using the scenario manager the worst case and the best case scenario of not having
overtime and having 80 over hours (6 Marks)
iv) Copy the worksheet onto a ms word document for upload (4 Marks)
