geographic areas. However, as organizations expand, businesses require communication
among geographically separated sites. OSI reference model is structured into layers. Outline
the advantages of layering [6Marks]
2. After studying the computer networks and management course at KCA University for
3months you have applied for an internship opportunity in one of the companies in Kenya.
During the interview session you are asked to explain the objectives and achievements of

1. Briefly explain six reasons why organizations must secure their computer networks.

2. Explain any three reasons why a supermarket chain with many branches in Kenya may prefer
to setup a wireless network compared to a wired network [6Marks]
3. An organization wants to set up a peer to peer network in its human resource department and
has approached you for assistance. Assuming that there are three computers at the
department, briefly explain how you would setup the network. [8Marks]
